Lovely tapas restaurant, very friendly and knowledgeable staff, gluten free and vegan options available. Highly recommended restaurant.
Super tasty, fast and friendly service! Highly recommended.
The food was excellent and the service was super attentive and friendly. The hygiene measures were implemented well and did not detract from the mood of our evening. We're looking forward to next time.
I give it a star with great shame, pk last year I went to the restaurant and I liked it, I felt in Spain, but yesterday we invited some friends, it took literally 1 hour to bring us the food, and it was all cold and I had ordered my dishes Last time favorites, and they were terrible, the omelette for example was burned, black on the bottom, the cheese with honey that I asked twice the last time, this was terrible and cold, and then they forgot two dishes ... anyway! I felt really bad with my non-Spanish friends and this was their first tapas experience.
We were now for the second Msl in a week in the beer garden of the Pelayo. It's great to sit there. The menu is great. We ate great both times. Especially delicious potatoes in aioli, shrimps in a potato coating, chorizio and delicious churros with chocolate sauce. Actually everything is delicious. And the service is amazingly friendly. And important in times of Corona: plastic partitions were installed between the tables.
The waiting time for food was almost 2 (!) Hours and even after we had complained about the long waiting time, we had to go to the checkout ourselves to pay after waiting more than 20 minutes. Otherwise we would probably still be sitting there and waiting for the waiter to pay. The meal was okay.
The ambience in this restaurant is pleasant. The price-performance ratio, however, does not really fit. The prices are excessive in terms of quantity. But very good taste. The menu, which could be called up via a QR code, was completely confused and not at all user-friendly. The service was generally okay. But when I was paying I was told that the card terminal wasn't working today. The problem with that was that I didn't have any cash and had to go to the bank first. This is not possible at all and simply has to be communicated to the customer before the order is placed. Because my house bank was not there, I also had to pay a fee of € 5 for the withdrawal.
Service very nice & funny Tapas delicious! Coffee unfortunately not so good :(
Great service, very tasty dishes, in a very relaxed environment.
We were there for the first time. But we wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Because we waited an hour and a half for the food today and the food still didn't taste good. It's just not worth waiting an hour and a half for food.
Let's start with the positive: Nice ambience and the aioli is delicious. Unfortunately, that was it. We had to wait 1.5 hours for 5 small tapas dishes. You can just accept if the food tastes good. Unfortunately it didn't. The Albondigas were almost assault. Tough, dry and no flavor. Gordon Ramsey would have loved it. Generally speaking, the dishes were very bland. Only the prawns in the potato nest were delicious, big compliments to the factory that makes them. Price / performance is miserable. The only reason why my review is still reasonably constructive is the bottle of Federweißer that I bought after visiting Rewe and poured it behind the bandage. Bottom up!
It was our first time to eat Spanish and absolutely loved it. The service was very friendly and the food tasted great. We would love to come back.
A really good tapas restaurant. Seldom eaten so well. I will definitely come back.
Simply great who understand something about Spanish cuisine. Nice large beer garden in the courtyard. Staff very friendly. Always my pleasure.
Our visit from Baden-Württemberg wanted a tapas evening. It was our first time eating tapas here and both we and our friends loved it. Delicious and varied tapas, despite the shortened menu due to Corona. Highly recommended for a delicious and relaxing evening.
Fantastic food and great service. We ordered and tried many different tapas. It was all delicious. Thanks for a great afternoon. Gladly again.
Ate tapas for the first time, we came on recommendation. Food was very good. Price for the food completely ok. Very, very nice service. Yes you had to wait longer, but it was said in between that the food was coming, so you didn't feel forgotten. We would love to come back ?
I have not been so impressed by a restaurant in a long time, I can say that nothing has frustrated us so far! It was a success in my mouth every time, the decoration on the tables and in the whole restaurant is meaningful and tasteful. The bathroom is always clean and all in all the restaurant gives a good impression. Prominent and friendly service. I think that all the local staff did a very good job there.
In summary: disappointing. We sat in the really nice "garden". Below you have to imagine a meadow, a few trees and a few tables and chairs. Pretty easy and loveless. Service was slow, inattentive, and careless. The food was at most average, edible, but too expensive. Spanish names and recipes from the cookbook just don't make Spanish cuisine. The hygiene protection measures currently in force were consequently not complied with. No recommendation from me.
Very nice calamaris and the aioli was really delicious. Also great service!
Unfortunately not a good experience there. We waited about 1 hour 30 minutes for food, then we suddenly got everything at once and then ate for about 10 minutes. Time-performance ratios are therefore 0. Waiter hardly present, at some point ordered something to drink which also took forever. Food was okay, but I've eaten better in other tapas bars. I prefer going to the competition.
Not the real Spanish cuisine
Not a great atmosphere and food was sub par but in general it was ok
Love it, delicious food and great atmosphere. Reminds me every time of Spain
Quite pricy, the lamb was very VERY chewy and I was never asked how I'd like it done. Had to ask for a menu. Took quite a while to get the food. Dessert was alright and the different tapas was mediocre.
Almost as good as Odyssia, but not quite. Lovely tapas place that also features main courses. I recommend the espinacas con gambas as a starter. Then, follow it up with the salmon con gambas. Delicious from start to finish.
This is good group for all people ?
Food excellent
Food was great but it took very long to prepare
Great tapas!
Just a decent Spanish restaurant near the Messe van Essen. Delicious tapas, good wine and friendly service. Definitely worth a visit. Prices average. Just a very thick one so an 8-
Awesome and authentic Tapas. I’m in love with that place, staff and food. Selection of Tapas are blasting your mind without being fancy and not authentic. You’ll find all Tapas as you’ll find them on vacation in Spain. Please note that accessible via wheelchair is limited. Staff is willing to help you.
Ok
Reasonable tapas, some dishes were just ok like the lamb skewers and some were very good like the calamari, decent wines and good service.
My favorite tapas place in the rhein/ruhr area Very good tapas choice. Food is good quality and not too pricey. The staff is nice and friendly. Only small deficit: it can get quite loud inside in the evenings.
Nice collection of tapas.. Service was slow and some of the staff were a little rude.. But the food was awesome which is the important thing
Very good Spanish food
Great little place with authentic food.
Very nice environment... Outdoor sittings are available... Good food and reasonable price... :)
Excellent place for tapas and a glass, of two, of decent wine. Affordable and with friendly and attentive service. Do make reservations.
decent menu
Good tapas, friendly service!
